When we own the story, we can write a brave new ending"

Aubrey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in work with adolescents and young adults, working through a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach

About me
Hello, I'm Aubrey! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York. My approach to therapy is person centered, trauma informed, and non-judgmental. I believe in meeting clients where they're at, in order to form a trusting and authentic therapeutic experience.

I incorporate multiple treatment modalities to meet each clients specific needs, and have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and evidenced based practices for the treatment of eating disorders.

I started my career as a therapist over 10 years ago, working in the field of addictions with adolescents. It was then that my passion for working with teens and young adults began. I received my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Play Therapy and Expressive Arts from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.

When I'm not meeting with clients, you can find me enjoying time outside, sipping on a lavendar latte at a local coffee shop, and of course cheering on the Buffalo Bills!

Children & Adolescents
The big emotions of life can often feel overwhelming for young people. Individual therapy offers children and teens a safe space to explore and develop healthy coping, gain insight and understanding of their feelings, and process difficult life transitions.
Adults
It takes courage to lean into the painful places in our lives. As individuals, we often get stuck in patterns that lead to feelings of anxiety, disconnect, and shame. Therapy allows us to explore the negative thoughts and beliefs that drive these patterns. I strive to help my clients build insight, feel more grounded physically and emotionally, create more meaningful relationships, and live more authentically.
